The three Rojano-Garcia brothers grew up enthralled with Mexican 'Lucha Libre' professional wrestling.

'A lot of people grew up here in the states watching Superman, Batman,' says Jose Luis Rojano-Garcia. 'We grew up in Mexico. We have Luchadores.'

Their heroes had wild names like 'The Blue Demon,' 'Toxic' and 'El Santo.' More than 20 years later, their colorful heroes inspired a taco joint -- 'Lucha Libre Taco Shop' in San Diego. Customers have been slamming down tacos and burritos there since 2008.

'We felt like all of the Mexican restaurants always do the same thing -- like the mariachis, serapes, sombreros,' says Jose. 'We wanted to grab something from Mexican culture that really isn't put out there as much.'

Every inch of the restaurant is decorated with Lucha Libre memorabilia: glittery wrestling masks, huge photographs of famous Luchadores, and to top it off, a 'Champ's Ring,' a real wrestling ring where you place your order on a hanging announcer's mic. The menu includes 'tap out taco,' 'smack down quesadilla' and 'knock out fries.'

A Family Affair

The restaurant has a big social media presence, with more than 8,000 followers on Instagram. Customers post pictures of themselves in the 'Champ's Ring' and at the 'Champions Booth' adorned with gold upholstery that Garcia's father made.

The restaurant started as a side project. Jose was already doing catering. Younger brother Diego was a recording engineer. The eldest, Maurilio, worked for the U.S. State Department. It's a true family business.

Diego's girlfriend is the graphics designer. Their mother came up with the salsa recipes (there are at least six kinds), and Diego creates unique decor, like a trash can made from an old TV. The face of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) from the movie 'Anchorman' is plastered on the set. 1960's-era Lucha Libre movies are projected onto the wall.

Wrestlers eat there for free. Customers clad in wrestling masks get a 15 percent discount.

'It's like a discount card, only you have to wear it,' says Diego.

Professional wrestlers, including guys from the WWF, come in regularly to grab a burrito. Lucha Libre wrestlers aren't suppose to show their faces, hence the masks. 'It's a big taboo,' says Diego. One day a 'big guy' walked in and stared at the wrestler memorabilia including a giant photograph of his masked self.

'He just slid very delicately his business card: 'Blue Demon: The Living Legend,' ' Diego said.

The Burrito Money-Maker

The restaurant is a big success, winning the title 'Best Burrito in San Diego' eight times. Jose says the taco shop brought in three million dollars in gross revenue last year. That's a lot of burritos.

They had so much business, the brothers opened a second Lucha Libre Taco Shop a few miles away in 2015. After just one year, Jose says, they are now turning a profit there as well.

'We want them to come in for the gimmick and then stay for the food,' says Jose.

When The Ultimate Warrior died in 2014, it was probably the most eerie deaths in pro wrestling. In the days leading up to his passing, Warrior had made peace with the WWE and many of his former colleagues after years of estrangement, and had cut an unforgettable speech on Monday Night Raw.

With many fans of the belief that he knew his days were numbered, he died one day later after succumbing to a heart attack.

And while it seemed that Warrior had gotten closure for many things in his colorful and often controversial life, a new report suggests that he wasn’t at all happy, and not at all financially stable in his final days.

Worse, the report also alleges that his wife, Dana, was on the verge of leaving him.

A report from Wrestling News cited a comment on The Ultimate Warrior’s official Facebook page, with the man claiming to be the late WWE Hall of Famer’s brother, Jay Hellwig.

Referring to his brother by his original nickname of Jim, Jay claimed that he had long been trying to talk about Warrior’s issues, only to see his comments deleted or blocked.

But based on his conversations with his brother shortly before his death, Jay Hellwig said that Warrior was “out of money” and miserable, and at a point where Dana and their two daughters were allegedly about to leave him.

In what can be referred to at some heavy-handed accusations against Dana Warrior, Jay Hellwig repeatedly referred to his brother’s widow as “fake,” accusing her of being a gold-digger from the time he first met her when she was 22 and fresh out of college.

He alleged that Dana called her mother-in-law “1,015 times a day” for the first two days after Warrior’s death, hounding her for what may have been the money she was to inherit from her late husband.

Below are Jay’s further comments on Dana Warrior, edited for clarity, as he accuses her of being a hypocrite through her appearances as a WWE ambassador, and alleges that Warrior wanted to make peace with the WWE so that he could preserve his marriage.

“And now to see her stand up like she has something to say that’s worth listening too [sic], it’s pathetic. Like I said, Jim dying was the best thing ever happened to her. Why do you think he went back to WWE? So his wife wouldn’t leave him.”

In conclusion, Jay Hellwig acknowledged that The Ultimate Warrior was no saint and was, as he sees it, a “controlling, self-centered narcissist.” At the end of the day, however, they were still brothers.

As we mentioned above, it’s quite a thing to talk about your brother’s marital and financial problems, and call his wife a gold-digger. The fact that Jay Hellwig made those claims three years after Warrior’s death also makes his words worth taking with a grain of salt. It will be interesting to hear Dana Warrior’s side of the story, though she has yet to issue any comment as of this writing.

Jay Hellwig, who claims to be the brother of the Ultimate Warrior has taken to social media to accuse Warrior’s wife Dana was about to leave Warrior before his death because he was running out of money. He commented on why Warrior’s passing is the best thing to happen to her.

You can read Jay’s post below:

“You know I’ve tried to post quite a few things since Jim’s death and for some reason she either blocked some or I don’t now they get erased but I know I talk to Jim a short time before his death in the impression I got was he was getting ready to be left by his wife and his kids because he was out of money if people only knew what a fake person this lady is fake fake fake fake fake and I don’t say that lightly.

This is going to sound really crude but Jim passing away was the best thing that ever happened to Dana.

She called my mom 1015 times a day for the first couple days until she realize that the money was there since and not a word not a word if people really knew what type of person she is they would not give her the time a day she was going to leave him because he was broke.

Real Money Brothers Wrestling 2020

I met her when she was 22 straight out of college she turned her back on her own mother for money.

And now to see her stand up like she has something to say that’s worth listening too it’s pathetic it is pathetic like I said Jim dying was the best thing ever happened to her why do you think he went back to WWE so his wife wouldn’t leave him.

People are going to believe what they want I had nothing against her until I talk to Jim did that last time they were at Disney World and they wouldn’t even slow down so he could keep up walking with them.

I could hear the hurt in his voice I believe in karma and I believe Dana you’re going to get what’s coming to you believe me.

I’m not trying to convince people that Jim was any kind of Saint he was controlling self-centered narcissist but he was my brother.”
